Tonight I'm drinking a 2009 Yellow Tail Shiraz-Cabernet. It's the first "mixed" wine I've had. By mixed I mean it's 80% Shiraz and 20% Cabernet. It's really good. The label says it tastes like rich plum, blackcurrants and raspberry but I don't know what blackcurrants taste like. To me it's a bit spicy with a cherry-raspberry taste. I'd like this one with steak. Steak fajita's would be great with it. Again, it's good with pizza but most red wines are.
Yellow tail is a great brand to buy if you're looking to try a different wine. This bottle was $5.99 on sale, down from $7.99. It's inexpensive but in no way cheap.
